Vấn đề đặt root bridge trong spanning tree là một vấn đề quan trọng. Root switch nên đặt ở trung tâm của mạng campus (distribution/core). Tính năng port-fast (chứ không phải backbone fast) được sử dụng ở access-layer switch để tăng giúp port chuyển sang trạng thái forwarding nhanh. B bị loại bỏ
Tính năng backbone fast không thực sự mang lại đặc tính load-balancing. C bị loại bỏ. Cá nhân mình chỉ chọn A.
