Mình đọc về CIR mà hiểu còn lơ mơ lắm, mong các bạn giải thích dùm
- CIR : When subscribing to Frame Relay servrce , you will specify the local access rate, for example T1, that connects to the service provider network . You will also be asked to specfiy a CIR, up to the access rate, for each DLCI on the connection. The CIR value specifies the maximun average data rate that the network undertakes to deliver, when there is little or no congestion. If your traffic exceeds the CIR on a given DLCI, when there is will flag some frames with a discard eligible ( DE) bit. As long as these frames do not encounter any congestion in the network, they will be delivered ; however, if they do encounter congestion ,the frame relay switch will discard them . The lower the specified CIR, the less expensive the PVC cost. Many providers sell 0 Cir service to lower costs. In this environment , a user could access the network at full access rates, but every frame sent into the network would be discard eligible. As long as no congestion eccurs in the provider network, the frames will be delivered.
