Các bác cho hỏi, tui có một con Cisco 2522 có 8 cổng A/S Serial, không biết có thể dùng nó làm terminal server được không?

Thông thường mọi nguòi hay dùng 2509 và 2511 để làm terminal server, tuy nhiên hai con này khó kiếm, vả lại cũng hơi mắc. Tôi có sẵn 2 con 2522 nên muốn "tiết kiệm điện" mà ko biết có được không đây.

Dùng lệnh "show line" thấy nó báo như sau:

Cổng 8 A/S của Ếch có giao tiếp là DB-60 hay là RJ-45 vậy?

Theo tôi nghĩ về nguyên tắc thì dùng được, có điều ngoài các lệnh để cấu hình Terminal Server như với 2509, bạn phải dùng lệnh " physical-layer async " trong interface mode. Ngoài ra có một điều quan trọng hơn là làm thể nào để có sợi cable kết nối từ cổng DB-60 của 2522 sang cổng console của Router khác. Hay bạn định tự hàn lấy :lol:

Cổng Asynchronous của tôi là DB-60. Default của nó ở chế độ Synchronous, nên đúng như Dragon113 nói, tôi phải gõ lệnh physical-layer async để chuyển nó thành dạng Asynch.

Tôi đã có cable chuyển từ DB60 sang DB25 và sang RJ45, tuy nhiên mày mò mãi mà vẫn chưa được .

Tìm trên google thấy có chú đã nói làm được rồi, nên cũng có thêm động lực để mày mò .

Yes, this is what I do and works very well (Unless you get a lab that needs a ton of frame relay interfaces). I also use the AUX
port as an additional reverse telnet port using a cisco rollover. Remember you need special cables for this as you need to get from
DB60 to RJ45. To do this I use one standard cisco rollover + 1 standard RJ45 to DB25F adapter (the one marked "Terminal" ) and 1
DB60 to DB25M cable (Cisco part #CAB-232MT. NOTE: these can be expensive... I recommend www.anthonypanda.com). Hope this helps...

Sau một hồi lọ mọ, cuối cùng tôi cũng đã set up xong cái Communications Server dùng con 2522. Tuy tiết kiệm tiền mua router 2511, nhưng 6 cái dây để nối từ DB60 sang console thì hơi bị lục tốn . Tui post cái configuration, để có ai cũng muốn có cấu hình tương tự thì có chể tham khảo .

Dây nối từ Asyn Serial Interface (DB60) ra console thì tôi dùng giống như cái link bên trên nói ,

rollover + 1 standard RJ45 to DB25F adapter (the one marked "Terminal" ) and 1 DB60 to DB25M cable (Cisco part #CAB-232MT).

có thể thay bằng

Rollover + RJ45 to DB25M (male) + DB60 to DB25F

Tóm lại là cái dây DB60 to DB25 thì dùng male cũng được mà female cũng được, miễn là có cái chuyển đổi phù hợp.
