Hi,
Cổng Console không có địa chỉ IP, muốn manager router từ xa phải thông qua Modem dial-up đến cổng AUX hoặc Telnet đến địa chỉ của Interfaces, do vậy đặt password cho các đường telnet (cổng vty) chính là Manager Interface Password

khi bạn chuyển từ User mode sang Privilige mode mà gặp pass thì pass đó là do lệnh mà bạn vừa nêu đặt. bạn xem thêm chi tiết ở sách CCNA kỳ 2

Để chuyển từ User mode (router>) qua Privilege mode (router#) ta dùng lệnh "enable"
Để chuyển từ Privilege mode (router>) qua Configure mode (router#) ta dùng lệnh "configure terminal"

"enable password" lệnh này dùng để đặt password cho Privilege mode, khi gõ lệnh "enable" từ User mode router sẽ hỏi password.
"enable password secret" lệnh này tạo password mã hóa, khi dùng lệnh "show running-configure" password sẽ hiển thị thành chuỗi ký tự đã mã hóa.
